Are there shuttles and rackets available at the hall?
When hiring a court, you will need to bring your own racket and shuttles.
Will there be any staff at the hall to help me?
As a club, run by volunteers, there will be no one at the hall to help you. Below are our court hire instructions that should answer any questions you might have. The Hello Club system is easy to use, and we are confident that once you have used it once, it will be second nature.
Can I drop my kids off and pick them up later?
No - Children must be supervised at all times.
Court Hire Instructions
Booking
Head to our Hello Club app and check the calendar and book your preferred court and time.
First time? you will need to register with Hello Club to proceed.
Pre-payment – We require prepayment to secure your booking.
Cancellation – You can cancel your booking up to 2 hours before your booking starts and receive a credit to your Hello Club account.
PIN – The App will allocate a one-time PIN number for your booking, which is valid for 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after your booking.
Tag – If you find yourself booking frequently, you may prefer to purchase an RFID tag for convenience. Tags cost $20 inc GST.
Arrival
Gate– The gate should be closed if you are the first person to arrive. It is not locked, just latched closed. Open the gate, which may remain open while there are vehicles in the car park.
Door – Enter your PIN from your booking and press ⮠ . Please ensure that the door is closed behind you! If you leave the door open, others may enter who do not have a booking or are not there with a member! The PIN pad doubles as the RFID reader. If you have a tag, tap it on the PIN pad.
Check-in – Once you have arrived, use your PIN or Tag to sign in to the Hello Club kiosk and check in for your session.
Play
Lights – So long as you have checked in, lights will come on automatically when your session starts.
Footwear – Please ensure that you have non-marking footwear.
Shuttles & racket – You need to bring your own shuttles and rackets to play with.
Badminton Only – Remember, court hire is for badminton only!
Sweep – At the end of your session please sweep up any feathers from your court.
Leaving
Everyone – Please take any rubbish with you, we are a no waste facility.
Everyone – If you have used the kitchen, shower, or WC facilities, please clean up after yourself.
Last Person Out
Check that all taps & showers are off. We have a sewage holding tank which costs around $1,000 to empty. Taps left on prematurely fill it and this cost may be passed on to those that have left taps/showers running.
Check windows and fire doors – Ensure that the building is secure.
Check lights – Check that all lounge, toilet, and kitchen lights are off. If the hall lights are on, they will turn off automatically when the booking time expires.
Set alarm – Press the red ‘arm alarm’ button to arm the security alarm. You do not need to do anything on the alarm panel!
Exit and check door – Exit the building and check the door is locked behind you.
Close carpark gate – latch the carpark gate closed.
Problems
Please try and be self-sufficient. The club is run by volunteers, as such, there are no ‘staff’ to answer your questions. Try Guides for members | Hello Club Help Center if you are having problems with the Hello Club app.
